Are You Remarkable?

In the promotional products industry, where products and pricing are similar, in order to stand out and attract more business you need to be doing more than just what is expected, you need to be remarkable.

What do I mean by that? In a recent blog post, supplier Allison Gower, from the Platform Group Gallery, cited marketing guru Seth Godin as saying remarkable is “The opportunity to inspire someone to make a remark about your product, your service, your programs …” Think about what you could be doing that will inspire your clients to remark about your company.

Many of our suppliers, The Platform Group Gallery included, do a great job of being remarkable by providing free branded websites, free case studies, marketing tools and an expertly trained customer service staff. They inspire our loyalty by making it easy for us to do business with them.

Savvy distributors are noticing the trend. They’re providing praise-worthy service and positioning themselves as promotional marketing and branding consultants with a suite of end-user friendly tools and to make their clients lives easier and make their company remarkable.

Not sure how you can be remarkable? Think about what companies and products you are most loyal to and emulate some of the things they’re doing in your own business.

Here’s the bottom line: If you want to stand out and sell more, be remarkable!
